Sayaka Yamamoto (born July 14, 1993 in Osaka Prefecture) is a member of the Japanese idol girl group NMB48 and guitarist, where she serves as the captain of Team N, and Leader of NMB48. She is also a former member of AKB48’s Team K.
NHK Morning Drama Theme Song
Sayaka Yamamoto served as center for NHK morning drama “Asa ga Kita”. The brief description of the drama is that after a businesswoman named Hirooka Asako, who lived during the end of the Edo Period to the Meiji Period. This will be the first NHK morning drama where the story begins at the end of the Edo Period. As previously reported, the protagonist ‘Asa’ is played by Haru, and Asa’s older sister ‘Hatsu’ by Miyazaki Aoi, both famous actresses in the country.
The title of the theme song is “365 Nichi no Kamihikouki” (English translation: 365 Days of Paper Airplanes). It’s a gentle, medium-tempo number that features the acoustic guitar. This marks Sayaka’s first time claiming center position. “I’ve wanted to eventually become center, so now that it’s happened, it’s hard to believe it,” she said. Takahashi encouraged Yamamoto saying, “It’s difficult to show your individuality in AKB48, but now that you’ve become center, you have to graduate from a ‘karineko’ (borrowed cat) and show your capabilities.”
